​​​​​​​CRATER is an annual print film journal documenting underground cinema in New York.

Through interviews and photos, CRATER aims to create an archive of filmmaking and programming happening outside (and in opposition to) the non-profit, academic, and commercial establishments.

CRATER's focus is towards an emerging DIY and grassroots film culture that centers care and community, and expands access to cinema.
